Senior Research Analyst Canoe Inc. (canoe.ca) is currently looking for a Senior Research Advisor to work in either our downtown Toronto, ON office or our Montreal, QC office. Canoe Inc. (a Quebecor Media company) has developed into Canada’s leading content provider since launching on March 4, 1996.  Staffed around the clock, Canoe provides news and information, including photos and data from Canada and around the world. The Senior Research Advisor works independently but has many internal clients. In this analytical role, the individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Data analysis and the ability to interpret results is an integral part of the role. This person must be able to work on multiple requests and within tight timelines. The Senior Research Advisor must have good judgment in identifying data needs and areas of improvement. Identifying opportunities in revenue improvement, traffic forecasting and inventory management are part of this role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: \u00b7 Provide data analysis and interpretation of data \u00b7 Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses for content and marketing teams \u00b7 Produce sales stories to improve ad revenues \u00b7 Identify areas where data needs to be improved \u00b7 Optimize use of Omniture \u00b7 Champion of Omniture for all internal clients including content, marketing, sales and senior executives \u00b7 Monitoring of traffic performance overall and by vertical \u00b7 Assist in the development of proprietary studies \u00b7 Conduct eCPM analysis \u00b7 Suggest improvements for revenue opportunities \u00b7 Suggest solutions for inventory issues \u00b7 Provide data for media kit Required Skills: Online experience is an asset Online data analysis experience is a strong asset Ability to speak French a strong asset Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication skills Education and Experience: College\/University Degree 5+ years of experience in data analysis Salary Range:                                     Commensurate with experience.
